Fordingbridge Events Group postpones Fordingbridge Festival 2020

Fordingbridge Events Group today announces that the 2020 Fordingbridge Festival has been postponed due to the current Coronavirus threat. The group has also cancelled the VE event, which was due to take place on the 8th May 2020.

Nicky Jenkins, Chair of Fordingbridge Events Group, says: “After much consideration, the committee has unanimously agreed to postpone this year’s festival. Although we are not sure what the state of play will be in July, the current restrictions are making it very difficult to proceed and we think it likely that even if restrictions are lifted by then, group gatherings will still not be encouraged.

“As a group, we have decided to postpone the festival until next year. We are hoping to arrange a free community event when the current situation changes instead.”

Fordingbridge Events Group is in talks with Fordingbridge Town Council about the 2021 festival, and the proposed date will be the 17th July 2021.

Nicky adds: “Everyone who has reserved a stand for the 2020 festival has been notified and can either use the money to hold their place for 2021 or get a refund. If anyone has any questions, they can contact the group by emailing [email protected]
